letterpress greeting cards
I design all the greeting cards and have them printed by a friend on an antique letterpress in Portland, Maine. Designs are inspired by nature, vintage ephemera, and folk art from around the world. I usually create the designs in Adobe Illustrator, then either hand-carve the designs into lino blocks or have the printing plates professionally engraved in copper plates for printing on the letterpress. Cards are available in a wide range of brick & mortar shops around the country, as well as from my website, www.morrisessex.com.
